- For eleven years I worked as a managing editor/production editor at the big publishing houses in New York and had a thriving copyediting business on the side. As of November 2011, I am a full-time freelance copyeditor. It is from my freelance work that this blog derives. My purpose in creating this blog is not to defame, unduly embarrass, or tread on the intellectual property rights of authors, but rather to give a humorous voice to one of the industry's longest-held secrets: namely that content alone is not king.
